Audio Morphing

چکیده

Approach: There are two variants of our work: inter-voice morphing and intra-voice morphing. In the intra-voice morphing scenario, a single person’s voice is recorded uttering a wide range of utterances. The speaker’s phones are then morphed in time to generate new utterances of the speaker. We note that intra-voice morphing addresses the same problem that concatenative speech synthesis algorithms address, except that instead of simply re-ordering and concatenating original speech samples, intravoice morphing methods smoothly morph between the different recorded sounds. This will help to reduce the amount of recorded audio needed for speech synthesis systems. For example, current stateof-the-art concatenative speech synthesis systems require around 40 hours of recorded audio in order to produce natural-sounding speech.

3. Assess the realism of the talking face. We plan to perform several psychophysical tests to evaluate the realism of our system. 4. Extend our approach using morphable model from TTVS to TTS. We plan to first study morphing of audio sequences. The system will take as input 2 audio sequences, and produce as output intermediate audio sequences that approximate natural exemplars lying between the...

Morphing spectral envelopes using audio flow

We present a method for morphing between smooth spectral magnitude envelopes of speech. An important element of our method is the notion of audio flow, which is inspired by similar notions of optical flow computed between images in computer vision applications. Audio flow defines the correspondence between two smooth spectral magnitude envelopes, and encodes the formant shifting that occurs fro...

AUTOMATIC AUDIO MORP ' HING - - Sound 1 - T Residue

This paper describes techniques to automatically morph from one sound to another. Audio morphing is accomplished by representing the sound in a multi-dimensional space that is warped or modified to produce a desired result. The multi-dimensional space encodes the spectral shape and pitch on orthogonal axes. After matching components of the sound, a morph smoothly interpolates the amplitudes to ...

Morphing Instrument Body Models

In this study we present morphing methods for musical instrument body models using DSP techniques. These methods are able to transform a given body model gradually into another one in a controlled way, and they guarantee stability of the body models at each intermediate step. This enables to morph from a certain sized body model to a larger or smaller one. It is also possible to extrapolate bey...

Sound Morphing with Gaussian Mixture Models

In this work a sound transformation model based on Gaussian Mixture Models is introduced and evaluated for audio morphing. To this aim, the GMM is used to build the acoustic model of the source sound, and a set of conversion functions, which rely on the acoustic model, is used to transform the source sound. The method is experimented on a set of monophonic sounds and results show that it provid...
